COVID-19 Essentials: Infection Prevention & PPE

This online training course provides you with the knowledge and skills necessary to reduce the spread of infection and illness in non-healthcare workplaces. It explains the fundamentals of infection prevention, the importance of personal hygiene, and how to correctly and safely use different types of PPE. Taking this training will enable you to follow practical steps that help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and keeps everyone safe.

Asbestos Awareness Course (Category A)

Asbestos is an extremely hazardous substance that causes serious ill-health to anyone who disturbs or damages it. For this reason, all workers who may come across asbestos or asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) must be trained so that they can work safely. This includes work with potential ACMs, accidental discovery of asbestos, and accidental damage to asbestos and ACMs.

Working At Height

Falls from height are one of the most common causes of injury at work. They can result in serious injuries and fatalities to people at work and others passing by, including those carrying out construction and maintenance as well as members of the public. Therefore, it's important that anyone carrying out work at height activities understands how to work safely and responsibly and in accordance with the law.

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)

This COSHH training course provides an understanding of hazardous substances, as outlined within the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002. It will equip you with the knowledge needed to identify hazardous substances in your workplace and understand the legal requirements of COSHH.

Abrasive Wheels

Nearly half of all accidents resulting from abrasive wheels happen due to unsafe working practices and operator errors. If you work with abrasive wheels then following strict health and safety practices is paramount to protect both yourself and others from harm

Working In Confined Spaces

Every year a number of people are killed or seriously injured due to working in confined spaces, often because they are unaware of the dangers, poorly trained or the correct safety arrangements have not been put in place.

Respirable Crystalline Silica Awareness Training

Lone Worker Training

If you employ or manage someone who is required to work in isolation from others or without direct supervision, then it’s essential that the risks to their health and safety are carefully managed. Lone workers face specific risks that employees in busy workplaces are less likely to encounter so it’s important that they are identified early and effectively controlled.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Training

This PPE Training course is designed to familiarise employers, senior staff, and employees with all the fundamental aspects of PPE that is used in work environments.
The course looks at legislation relating to PPE, the various types of PPE that protect workers from hazards, and how to determine the need for PPE. With this knowledge, learners will be fully prepared to select and use PPE properly so health and safety is upheld at work.

Noise Awareness Training Online Course

It's essential that noise levels and people’s exposure to noise at work are kept to an absolute minimum to prevent permanent damage to workers' hearing. This Noise Awareness course is designed to familiarise you with the risks posed by noise and helps employers and employees recognise the dangers and understand how to keep noise emissions as low as they possibly can.

HAVS (Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome) Training Course

This HAVS (Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome) training course considers the use of vibrating tools and equipment used in the workplace and how these can cause long-term damage to health if they’re not effectively managed.
