Supporting Health, Safety, Wellbeing, Environment and Working Compliancy

Creating a network and community of compliant small subcontractors contractors, micro-subcontractors (under 5 workers) and specialist sole traders. The Passport Scheme aims to achieve the highest levels of awareness.

Extending our own proven internal training and monitoring model and monitoring systems for our direct labour force to our suppliers. Supporting members with consuming administration, costly training, lengthy organisational process, registrations and health, safety and environments compliancy.

Coordinated by our Network Coordinator. The Passport will help it’s members to obtain and, subsequently maintain SSIP (CHAS) registration, helping SME contractors to deliver for Betacove but to the wider building community too.

Membership also offers discounted additional training and support throughout the year. Awe are currently working on other membership advantages to help Passport Members truly benefit from the Passport Scheme.

Asbestos Awareness Course (Category A)

Asbestos is an extremely hazardous substance that causes serious ill-health to anyone who disturbs or damages it. For this reason, all workers who may come across asbestos or asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) must be trained so that they can work safely. This includes work with potential ACMs, accidental discovery of asbestos, and accidental damage to asbestos and ACMs.

Working At Height

Falls from height are one of the most common causes of injury at work. They can result in serious injuries and fatalities to people at work and others passing by, including those carrying out construction and maintenance as well as members of the public. Therefore, it's important that anyone carrying out work at height activities understands how to work safely and responsibly and in accordance with the law.

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)

It will equip you with the knowledge needed to identify hazardous substances in your workplace and understand the legal requirements of COSHH.

Working In Confined Spaces

Every year a number of people are killed or seriously injured due to working in confined spaces, often because they are unaware of the dangers, poorly trained or the correct safety arrangements have not been put in place.

Lone Worker Training

If you employ or manage someone who is required to work in isolation from others or without direct supervision, then it’s essential that the risks to their health and safety are carefully managed. Lone workers face specific risks that employees in busy workplaces are less likely to encounter so it’s important that they are identified early and effectively controlled.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Training

This PPE Training course is designed to familiarise employers, senior staff, and employees with all the fundamental aspects of PPE that is used in work environments.
The course looks at legislation relating to PPE, the various types of PPE that protect workers from hazards, and how to determine the need for PPE. With this knowledge, learners will be fully prepared to select and use PPE properly so health and safety is upheld at work.
